Our survey presents a mixed picture of Colombia's market for Swedish companies. Most are performing well and expect higher turnover in what will probably be one of the region’s most dynamic economies, but views of the overall business climate are cautious, with tempered investment plans.

This survey highlights Spain as a booming market with strong overall economic performance, a well-developed infrastructure, and positive bilateral relations with Sweden. Despite some reported challenges, it was the world’s fastest-growing major economy in 2024, and growth is expected to continue.

This survey finds Swedish companies facing a less positive business climate, including increasing concerns over political and economic instability, in South Korea. However, most still see potential in the export-driven economy, anticipating turnover growth and planning to increase investments.

For this year’s survey, we engaged Swedish firms operating in Vietnam of diverse sizes and industries, to capture the most inclusive perspective on the current business climate. This survey shows that most of the companies expect a good business performance in 2025.

With this survey, we demonstrate the overall positive view Swedish companies have of Taiwan as a market. With GDP growth expected to remain over 3%, the Taiwanese economy shows remarkable adaptability even with uncertainties from geopolitical tensions and global supply chain reconfigurations.

This survey spotlights the Portuguese market’s strong performance and the overall success it holds for Swedish companies, which are cautiously positive for the future. This survey was created for and by the local Swedish business community in Saudi Arabia. Ninety-one per cent of Swedish companies view the business climate as good or very good, and 82 per cent expect their industry turnover to increase.

Our survey finds that, while the country’s economy surged to reach a trade surplus of nearly USD 1 trillion, the business climate for Swedish companies in Mainland China reached a new record low. Revenue and profit growth have contracted, but a majority of the companies are still committed to the Chinese market.
