Steady outlook for Swedish exports

Swedish export companies remain optimistic about the future despite a somewhat weaker forecast. Business Sweden’s Export Managers’ Index (EMI) fell by 2.9 points to 56.1 in the third quarter. The index for expected demand from Asia declined sharply while prospects stayed positive for Europe and North America.

Investment flows rise with Europe

Global foreign direct investment (FDI) rose by 6 per cent in 2025 from the previous year. Sweden recorded its highest investment inflow since the record year 2022 and secured third place in Europe, behind United Kingdom and Germany. Sweden thereby bolsters its position in the competition for foreign capital and new establishments.
